The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) has decorated 4 newly promoted Officers at the Naval Headquarters
The Officers were promoted from the rank of Lieutenant to the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the Nigerian Navy. The event took place at the EZEOBA Hall in Naval Headquarters, Abuja.
The newly promoted Officers are:
a. Lieutenant Commander Solomon Opeyemi Aborisade.
b. Lieutenant Commander Oluwagbemiga Michael Adebowale.
c. Lieutenant Commander Wilfred Izilien.
d. Lieutenant Commander Yakubu Usman Yusuf.
In his remarks, the CNS, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans Rear Admiral Joseph Daniel Akpan stated that the Officers were promoted in reward of hard work, discipline, and dedication to duty as well as loyalty to the Navy and the nation at large.
He also stated that promotion comes with great responsibility and charged the newly promoted Lieutenant Commanders to be professional in the discharge of their duties and shun vices that would stain their record. He also appreciated the spouses and family of the newly promoted officers for keeping the home front peaceful.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Lieutenant Commander Aborisade appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the opportunity given to them to serve the Nation. Furthermore, he thanked the CNS and the Navy Board for considering them worthy of the promotion to this rank. The Officers promised to improve on their productivity in their various departments.
Present at the event are Principal Staff of the Naval Headquarters, Directors, Deputy Directors and senior officers. Others are spouses of the newly decorated officers, their Family and well wishers.Navy
