Alhaji Monsoor Ejide Celebrates Birthday, Lauded for Service and Philanthropy

Alhaji Monsoor Ayoade Ejide of Ilé Imam, Masifa, Ogbomoso, has been widely celebrated as he marked his birthday on January 1, with tributes pouring in to honour his enduring legacy of generosity, community development, and selfless service.

Known as a quiet achiever and an unsparing giver, Alhaji Ejide has devoted his life to the growth and upliftment of Ogbomosoland. His impact cuts across entrepreneurship, education, and humanitarian service, where he has consistently demonstrated a rare commitment to the welfare of his people.

Through his business initiatives, he has created employment opportunities locally, deliberately choosing to invest at home to promote dignity of labour and inclusive economic growth.

In the education sector, Alhaji Ejide has empowered countless youths by awarding scholarships to both brilliant and indigent students, ensuring that financial hardship does not extinguish academic potential. His philanthropic reach also extends to widows and widowers, to whom he has offered sustained support and compassion, restoring hope where it was once absent.

Described by admirers as kind in spirit, gentle in conduct, and generous beyond expectation, Alhaji Ejide is respected for his humility and steadfast commitment to service rather than public acclaim. His life of sacrifice and impact has earned him admiration as a man whose strength is defined by character and whose influence is felt across generations.

As he adds another year to a life marked by purpose and service, The Scoopchase joins family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating Alhaji Monsoor Ayoade Ejide, praying for continued good health, abundant grace, lasting prosperity, and a legacy that will endure far beyond words.

Oke LEGACY pledges N10m to Ogbomoso Education Trust Fund, reaffirms commitment to advancing education in Ogbomosoland

By Hon. John Adisa-Oke LEGACY, (Ph.D)

Ogbomosho (Oyo State): For years, education has always been my passion and top priority, even beyond my role as the Chairman of Best Legacy College of Education and Best Legacy Group of Schools.

Supporting educational initiatives has been our foresight since the last 30 years of establishing the school. Best Legacy Primary and Secondary sections are the first fully boarding schools in Ogbomoso and BELCOED, the first private tertiary institution.

Through the Oke-LEGACY Foundation, we have consistently supported indigent students across the five local governments of Ogbomosoland and beyond with annual scholarships.

Over 1,000 students have benefitted from the scholarship, studying at Best Legacy College of Education (BELCOED) and other higher institutions, many of whom have now successfully graduated.

For me, “Education as the Best Legacy” is not just a slogan but a way of life that must shape the next generation of Ogbomoso youth.

Yesterday marked a watershed in our history with the maiden edition of the Ogbomoso Education Summit — a visionary initiative of our revered King, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III.

It was a landmark moment that reinforced the collective resolve to reposition education as the pride of Ogbomoso and a tool for sustainable development.

As part of my commitment to this noble cause, I am pledging the sum of N10 million towards the newly instituted Ogbomoso Education Trust Fund. This is my contribution to securing the future of our children and strengthening the educational foundation of our dear land.

I commend the foresight of our King and assure the Trust Fund Committee of my continuous support to ensure the overall success of this transformative initiative.
