    • Calls on President Tinubu to Rein in Osun APC Over Growing Violence and Reckless Threats

    By

Osogbo:  The ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State has issued a strong warning over the growing trend of threats, violent confrontations, and reckless utterances among members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of their planned primary election, which understandably, is strange to their political DNA.

The PDP expressed deep concern that the in-fighting within the APC is fast degenerating into physical attacks and public unrest, describing it as a dangerous development capable of undermining the peace and calm currently enjoyed by the people of Osun State.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman, Hon. Sunday Bisi, the PDP said the situation in the Osun APC has clearly shown a total breakdown of leadership and internal discipline within the party.

According to him, “What is happening within the Osun APC today is not about democracy or service; it is a battle of desperation among politicians who have lost every sense of restraint and responsibility. Their public conduct has become a direct threat to the peace and stability of our dear state.”

Hon. Bisi noted that the state government had long warned that the opposition APC could become a source of crisis if left unchecked, stressing that recent developments have unfortunately confirmed this fear. “What we are seeing now are open threats, violent outbursts, and physical attacks, not politics.

Before they turn Osun into a battlefield over internal ambitions, we call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the national leader of the APC, to urgently call his Osun chapter to order. The President must not allow the conduct of his party men in Osun to embarrass his government or destabilize a peaceful state,” he said.

The PDP chairman condemned the recent wave of violent incidents among APC members, citing public scenes in Ilesa where supporters of rival aspirants openly issued threats, and reports of assaults on innocent residents during a supposed local consultation in Apomu.

“These are not isolated incidents; they point to a party that has lost control of its members. The situation is fast becoming a menace to public peace, and we will not fold our arms as custodians of peoples mandate, while innocent people are being attacked,” Hon. Bisi warned.

He also condemned the recent public outburst by a known supporter of one of the Apc aspirants, labelling a rival aspirant as an assassin, without any sign of repremand by leadership of the Apc.

“When those who should show leadership resort to name-calling and subtle threats through soft proxies, it shows how morally bankrupt their politics has become. Theirs is now a house in total disarray, and Osun must not be made to suffer for their thoughtless fire and crossfire,” he added.

The PDP, therefore, called on security agencies; the Nigeria Police Force, DSS, and NSCDC, to remain vigilant and take immediate premptive measures to avert further breakdown of law and order.

“Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has worked tirelessly to build a peaceful and inclusive Osun, and we will not allow a few loose cannons to destroy that legacy. The peace and safety of Osun people come first,”

Reaffirming the PDP’s commitment to peace, progress, and responsible governance, Hon. Bisi appealed to Osun citizens to remain calm and law-abiding.

“We know that Osun people value peace and unity. Governor Adeleke’s administration will continue to protect every citizen, regardless of political affiliation. But let it be clearly stated anyone who attempts to bring violence into our state in the name of headless politics will face the full weight of the law. Osun belongs to all of us, not to a handful of desperate politicians who believe power must be seized by force,” he concluded.

  • 2027: Defections or not, APC Is finished — ADC

2027: Defections or not, APC Is finished — ADC

TheAfrican Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is becoming deeply unpopular among Nigerians, adding that no amount of defections can save the APC from defeat in the 2027 general elections.

The party’s position was contained in a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who was reacting to the news that key ADC members would soon defect to the ruling party.

Mallam Abdullahi said the APC’s desperation to attract members from other political parties shows that it has become deeply unpopular among Nigerians.

“The attention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been drawn to the declaration by the National Chairman of the ruling APC, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, at a stakeholders’ meeting in Jos that ‘key ADC figures’ will be received into the APC next week.

“This statement underscores a deep realisation by the ruling party that it cannot be saved even if all the governors in Nigeria defected to it. This is why, even with all the governors and senators they have been bragging about, the APC is still desperate for ADC members,” Abdullahi said.

The ADC accused the ruling party of bringing untold hardship upon Nigerians, noting that the APC’s current recruitment drive is a reflection of its loss of credibility and public trust.

“The truth remains that the APC realises that it has become the most hated party in Nigeria, and no amount of defections can save it from Nigerians whose lives and livelihoods the ruling party has destroyed since it came to power,” Abdullahi said.

The party also argued that the recent wave of defections into the APC amounts to a betrayal of the Nigerian people by members of the political elite who are more concerned with their own survival than with public welfare.

“Like we have noted earlier, the recent gale of high-profile defections to the ruling party is properly understood by ordinary Nigerians as a gang-up against the people by a ruling elite who have left the people behind in abject poverty and are only interested in self-preservation even as their people wallow in misery,” the party stated.

The ADC challenged the APC National Chairman to name the supposed “key figures” expected to defect from the party, describing his remarks as another sign of the ruling party’s desperation.

“We wonder if the APC has run out of governors to seduce that it has now turned to shadowy references to unnamed ADC members? If these individuals are so ‘key’, let the chairman of the hated party mention their names,” Abdullahi added.

Drawing parallels between the APC and the former ruling party, the PDP, the ADC said the APC was repeating the same mistakes that led to the downfall of its predecessor.

“There is nothing new in the game that the APC is playing. It is the same ruinous game that the PDP played at the height of its powers. The APC will also learn the bitter lesson that real democratic power lies with the people and not a few power merchants,” the party said.

    South-West won’t abandon Tinubu in 2027 —APC

THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State says South West will not abandon President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

The APC Spokesman, Mr Seye Oladejo, in a statement on Saturday in Lagos was reacting to a comment credited to supporters of a PDP presidential aspirant, Dr Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, that the South West would not re-elect Tinubu in 2027.

Oladejo said that Olawepo-Hashim had never built a durable political structure nor demonstrated the electoral muscle required to win a national contest.

According to him, Tinubu will crush all gang up against his reelection in 2027.

Oladejo said: “Olawepo-Hashim is a perennial aspirant and convenient mascot for opposition desperation.

“He (Olawepo-Hashim) may parade endorsements in tiny rallies and press statements, but endorsements on photocopied letterheads do not translate to votes.

“In the unlikely event that he somehow emerges as the presidential candidate of the free-falling PDP – a party apparently bankrupt of depth in both human and material resources – he will be roundly beaten at the poll.

“That is not bravado; it is political arithmetic. The PDP’s hollow theatrics and recycled claimants will not rescue a party that has for years relied on sentiment and nostalgia rather than competence and delivery.”

He said Olawepo-Hashim’s attempt to caricature the Tinubu administration’s record was “particularly distasteful and unacceptable”.

According to him, Tinubu’s administration is laying visible and irreversible foundations across infrastructure, education, agriculture, security and fiscal reforms.

“Those who traffic in selective statistics and currency rhetoric do so because they cannot defend the alternative: a return to the waste, arrogance and economic mismanagement that nearly extinguished our nation’s potential.

“Nigerians will not be hoodwinked into trading present progress for recycled excuses.

“To the political jobbers behind this noise: stop insulting the intelligence of Lagos residents and Nigerians,” he said.

He said that the opposition should not convert press releases into governance competence.

“In 2027, voters will choose continuity with a president who has delivered direction and results – not the empty spectacle offered by political tourists.

“The South West will not abandon its own for a project of theatrical ambition without substance,” he added. (NAN)

APC lauds Wamakko’s efforts for party stability

The Chairman of All Progressive Congress Sokoto state chapter, Alhaji Isa Achida, has urged party loyalists to support Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC Sokoto) efforts on ensuring party’s unity and stability in Sokoto state and beyond.

Achida made the call in an interview with the newsmen on Wednesday in Sokoto.

He described Wamakko as a pillar of Sokoto state politics and the soul holder of the APC in the state and northern Nigeria.

The party chairman emphasized that Wamakko’s open-door leadership style, selfless mentorship, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people are simply unmatched.

“Wamakko is not just a political leader; he is a humanitarian and a father figure to millions. He doesn’t hoard wealth, he gives generously, and his doors are always open. He is everything a true leader should be,” Achida said.

Achida further revealed that Gov. Ahmed Aliyu owes much of his success to Wamakko’s guidance and mentorship, adding that the APC’s dominance in Sokoto was a direct result of the political structure Wamakko built, which the governor has further solidified through his stellar performance.

“Our father, Wamakko, is the reason Sokoto remains solidly APC. His grassroots connection, unmatched generosity, and strategic wisdom will always make the difference,” he said.

He reassured party members and the people of Sokoto State that the APC stewardship would continue to deliver development, stability, and prosperity well beyond 2027.

Achida also disclosed that the Sokoto State chapter of APC has officially passed a resounding vote of confidence in the administration of Gov. Aliyu, citing his exceptional performance over the past two years as a benchmark for good governance in Nigeria.

He praised the governor’s bold leadership, prudent financial management, and people-centered policies.

The party leader declared that Gov. Aliyu has not only fulfilled his campaign promises but has exceeded expectations across critical sectors including water supply, education, infrastructure, civil service welfare, and security.

“ Aliyu is a worthy ambassador of the APC who, in less than two years, has achieved what his predecessor couldn’t accomplish in eight years.

” He’s not just cleaning up the mess left by the previous administration but he’s transforming Sokoto State,” said Achida.

He added that, in recognition of his outstanding service, the party has been considering adopting him as the APC’s sole candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial election, invoking the principle of right of first refusal.

“While the APC remains a democratic party open to internal contest, we are confident that no aspirant can match the track record of Gov. Aliyu. His work speaks for itself,” Achida added.

APC critises Tambuwal’s legacies in Sokoto

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Isa Achida, has criticised the eight-year administration of former Gov. Aminu Tambuwal, describing it as ”era of stagnation ” in the state.

Achida made the criticism in an interview with the newsmen on Tuesday in Sokoto.

He alleged that Tambuwal has refused to formally hand over to incumbent Gov. Ahmed Aliyu in 2023 to avoid being documented as leaving behind “a state riddled with abandoned projects.

The APC chairman said that Tambuwal deliberately aimed at frustrating the Aliyu administration.

He, however, praised the incumbent governor for what he described as prudent financial management and visible infrastructure delivery without borrowing.

“Since Aliyu assumed office, salaries are paid on or before the end of every month, the new minimum wage has been implemented, and major projects are ongoing all without loans.

“He is focused on the welfare of the people, not looting their resources,” Achida said.

Achida further argued that the former governor lacked an independent base, relying heavily on godfathers such as Sen. Aliyu Wamakko to secure power.

The party chairman noted that Tambuwal would not contest the next governorship or senatorial elections, declaring him “politically retired.”

“No Abuja alliance, no media propaganda, no recycled coalition can revive a politician whose only legacy is propaganda and a collapsed state,” the APC chairman said.

Sokoto East: APC will not field non indigene — Chairman

    By

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida, has declared that the era of non-indigenes taking the hospitality of Sokoto State people for granted is over.

In an interview with the newsmen on Tuesday, Achida said”While Sokoto will remain a welcoming and accommodating state, that generosity must never be repaid with betrayal or insults”.

He alleged that Senator Ibrahim Lamido has more sympathy to Zamfara people less than that of people from Sokoto State, If he wishes to contest the 2027 elections, he should do so in his home state. He is welcome to live in Sokoto like every other law-abiding Nigerian is welcome, but certainly not as a future political representative of our people.”

Achida made the remarks in response to reports that Lamido is reportedly leading a faction of the APC in the state.

He dismissed the claim and reiterated that moving forward the party owes Lamido neither an apology nor reconciliation because the party didn’t offend him, rather he has been waging a relentless campaign against the party.

“There is nothing to reconcile with Senator Lamido. The APC did absolutely nothing to him. He has been the one fighting the party from within. And even if reconciliation were to occur, we would never trust him with the senatorial ticket again. A leopard doesn’t change its spots,” Achida said.

He expressed outrage over Lamido’s attacks on Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, the revered leader of the APC in Sokoto State.

“How on earth can Lamido insult Senator Wamakko?” he asked. “That was the final red line. Senator Wamakko made it possible for him to be a senator. His betrayal is unforgivable.”

Achida described Lamido as a political liability who couldn’t even win his polling unit, let alone his local government area in the 2023 general elections.”How can such a man be a factional leader of the party “ Achida queried.

“We gave him the platform, we gave him the structure and he unfortunately turned against us. He has bit the very hand that fed him. His political career is over. Both the APC and the people have disowned him.”

Achida also dismissed the political relevance of both Lamido and Senator Abubakar Umar Gada, who claimed to have poached APC members into the ADC, the coalition aimed at challenging the APC in the 2027 elections.

Regarding Gada, Achida was blunt: “In the 2023 governorship election, Gada got just over 3,500 votes across the entire state. That’s less than what a strong candidate gets in one polling ward. He has no base, and no future in Sokoto State politics.”

Achida stressed that the APC remains united, strong, and focused under Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and its father-mentor, Senator Wamakko, and is unbothered by media hype about so-called factions or coalitions.

“Our party is not under any threat from these self-serving individuals. The real APC is intact, working, and delivering dividends of democracy to the people. And the people of Sokoto State have seen the difference.”

He concluded by branding both Lamido and Gada as “political opportunists” with no grassroots credibility or electoral value.

Re: Aregbesola’s Empty Boast That ADC Will “Take Over” Aso Rock and Lagos Govt House in 2027

    By Mogaji (Hon) Seye Oladejo

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has read, with equal parts laughter and pity, the latest boast by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will “take over Aso Rock and Lagos Government House” in 2027.

    From Landlord to Tenant
Here is a man who was once a proud landlord in the progressive family, now reduced to a wandering tenant in a mushroom opposition party. From Lagos Commissioner to Osun Governor and then Minister, Aregbe ate, dined, and thrived on the APC table. Today, in a desperate bid for relevance, he is busy setting fire to the same house that made him. That, dear Nigerians, is political suicide of the highest order.

    A Legacy in Self-Destruct Mode
When Aregbe condemns the APC, he is not damaging us – he is shredding his own résumé. Every attack on APC is an attack on the very foundation of his career. It is akin to a man writing his autobiography with an eraser. Nigerians know better than to take such a self-destructive messenger seriously.

    ADC’s Wrong Arrowhead
If the ADC thinks Aregbesola is the one to lead them to electoral glory, then they are preparing for a funeral, not a victory. Putting Aregbe at the front of a charge against APC is a recipe for failure.

    Fairy Tales Don’t Win Elections
Let us be clear: Lagos and Nigeria are not conquered by soundbites. Our people vote for performance, not fairy tales. The APC’s record is visible on the roads, in our schools, in our hospitals, and in our reforms. ADC, on the other hand, remains a political mirage – loud on boasts, empty on substance. The woeful and embarrassing performance of the ADC in the recent by-elections should give them no cause for hope. They need to first learn to be humble before they inevitably bite the dust in 2027.

    2027: The Reality Check.
In 2027, Lagosians and Nigerians will once again choose consistency over confusion, credibility over contradictions, and competence over comedy. The APC will be rewarded for delivery, while Aregbe and his ADC will be reminded that betrayal is not a political strategy.

    Conclusion
Ogbeni Aregbesola’s rant is less a threat to APC and more a public obituary of his own political relevance. By turning his back on the progressive family that made him, he has written himself out of history and into the footnotes of infamy.

If ADC insists on betting its future on a man dismantling his own legacy, then the only “takeover” awaiting them in 2027 will be a takeover by ridicule.

APC is here to stay. Movements don’t collapse because one man chooses to self-destruct.

Dr. MARY ALILE IDELE COMMENDS MR PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU ACHIEVEMENTS IN OFFICE

(APC National Women Leader Dr. Mary Alile Idele)

    By Mr Bello Suleiman

Fellow Nigerians. When Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR took the oath of office, He pledged before God and country to serve all Nigerians, without fear or favour, without preference for region, tribe, or faith. That oath is the guiding principle behind every bridge He constructs, every road He rehabilitates, every railway He revived, every megawatt of power He restores, and every health centre He strengthen. His administration’s compass is national service — one people, one destiny.

Today, across the length and breadth of our nation, this promise is being translated into tangible progress:

✨ *Transport & Connectivity:* From the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway in the South to the Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway in the North; from the Port Harcourt–Maiduguri Eastern Rail Line to the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano Expressway in the Centre, and the Trans-Saharan Highway linking Nigeria to other African nations — these projects are not sectional gains but national assets, knitting our people closer together, opening markets, and facilitating trade and integration.

✨ *Energy & Power:* The revived 255MW Kaduna Power Plant is returning much-needed electricity to homes and industries. The Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline has crossed the River Niger, symbolizing not just engineering progress but an energy lifeline that will power businesses and create opportunities for millions. Oil and gas exploration is expanding in Bauchi and Gombe, opening new frontiers for prosperity and energy security.

✨ *Healthcare & Education:* Health centres across the federation are being rehabilitated and modernized to deliver care closer to the people. Investments are also being channeled into schools and learning infrastructure, because every Nigerian child — regardless of background — deserves access to quality education and a fair chance at success.

✨ *Urban & Rural Development:* Light rail projects in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, and Ogun are advancing to ease movement, reduce costs, and modernize our transport systems. In Onitsha and Bonny, new bridges are reconnecting families, communities, and economies. Rural farmers are being supported with better road networks, giving them access to markets, while traders and artisans benefit from improved power supply and infrastructure.

✨ *Jobs & Opportunities:* Beyond structures of concrete and steel, we are building livelihoods. Already, over 250,000 jobs are being created through these projects, and millions more will emerge as investments mature, industries thrive, and small businesses expand.

Fellow Nigerians, these are not abstract statistics. They are the lifelines of a Renewed Hope agenda that ensures equity, fairness, and inclusivity. Every farmer who seeks a road to take produce to the market, every trader who depends on electricity for business, every patient who walks into a health centre, every child who deserves a school desk and a teacher — they are the beating heart of our mission.

This is what it means to build a Nigeria where no citizen is second-class, no region is neglected, and no community is forgotten.

The equity of Renewed Hope is that development is not confined to one zone, nor prosperity reserved for one group. It belongs to all of us. Together, through sacrifice, determination, and unity, we will rise as one people, bound by a common heritage and a shared destiny.

Bet on Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR come 2027. Bet on our future. Bet on our strength as one nation!
