Osun CoS Urges Ede North LG To Remain Focused, United To Return Gov Adeleke As Governor

The chief of staff to the Osun State governor, Alhaji Kazeem Kolapo Akinleye has urged the people of Sagba /Abogunde Ward of Ede North LG to remain focused and united in realization of PDP/ACCORD ambition to return Governor Ademola Adeleke in 2026.

Alhaji Akinleye,  who was represented by Sheikh Abdul Majeed Olagunju gave the advice on Saturday during the distribution of various empowerment incentives to the people of Abogunde constituency.

Sheikh Olagunju described the gesture as a “gift to party supporters meant to spread yelutude cheer and reinforce governor Ademola Adeleke ‘s renewed hopes agenda at the grassroots as this would also serve as sensitization towards the August 8, 2026 election.

He maintained that as the festive season reaches its peak, ” we are reminded not only of joy, celebration and fellowship but also of our collective responsibility to support vulnerable and uphold the spirit of compassion and unity for the success of governor Ademola Adeleke.

Earlier, the facilitator of the empowerment, Sheikh Alhaji Miftau Oluwadare encouraged the people not to be afraid of opposition ‘s propaganda over the choice of party affiliation of the governor.

He used his remarks to sentisized the general populace that the governor is contesting under the platform of Accord party which was enthusiastically agreed upon by saying :”accordingly”.

Oluwadare who is the chairman, Osun State Civil Service Commission, said the exercise was an annual humanitarian programme aimed at cushioning the effects of economic hardship on widows and vulnerable constituents.

“The initiative had been sustained for years and I am in strongly believe that it would cut across everyone if we can use our voters cards to elect IMOLE LEKAN SI.

In his remarks, the deputy chairman PDP Osun State, Hon Yaaqub Idowu emphasized on what is lingering around the political atmosphere in the state and enjoined party faithful in ensuring the success of “IMOLE LEKAN SI comes 2026.

Speaking, the executive chairman of Ede South Local Government, Hon Lukuman Afolabi encouraged the recipients to make use of of the money and other incentives to serve the intended purpose of feedings the families during the festive period.

He also expressed gratitude to governor Ademola Adeleke for his qualitative leadership in the state and advised the congregation to mobilize and safeguard their votes during next general elections.

Hon Taiwo Amodu the executive chairman Ede North LG with other political bigwigs at the occasion, commended the facilitator for his initiative to have his constituents at mind by giving them dividends of democracy.

They urged the other political appointees to emulate Alhaji Oluwadare and Alhaji Abdul Ganiy Amoo Tiamiyu of OLOGUN AGBAAKIN WARD 3 to bring the sweetness and dividend of democracy to the door step of the masses.
