Abuja (FLOWERBUDNEWS): NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support for all NAFDAC efforts to further secure the health of Nigerians against onslaught of counterfeiters and fake drug peddlers and others nefarious.
FLOWERBUDNEWS reports that Prof. Adeyeye, who clocked eight years in office as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NAFDAC on Monday, December 1, gave the commendation while answering questions from newsmen at the recent launching of three new initiatives to further promote and safeguard health of the nation’s children and mothers

Prof. disclosed that President Tinubu had been magnanimous enough to grant her a personal audience in August, which enabled her briefed him in detail about the successes of NAFDAC and the serious challenges and constraints needing urgent attention to make the Agency perform even better.
The NAFDAC Boss disclosed that following the direct briefing, the President had approved that efforts should begin to solve the manpower problem of the Agency, assuring that some staff would be engaged to fortify NAFDAC before year 2025 ran out.

‘The enhancement of NAFDAC staff strength would continue next year as it was already receiving attention at the Office of the Head of Service (HOS), She assured.
Prof. Adeyeye was also full of appreciation to the nation’s National Security Adviser,(NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his total support for NAFDAC enforcement operations since he assumed office.
The NAFDAC Chief Executive Officer particularly acknowledged the contributions of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to the unprecedented successes which NAFDAC recorded against counterfeiters across the country in recent times.
Prof. Adeyeye disclosed that the NSA assisted and fortified the NAFDAC enforcement operations with over 1,000 forces which ensured the dangerous operations were successfully undertaken resulting in confiscation of billions of Naira worth fake and adulterated products, while several arrests were made.
She disclosed that some of the suspects arrested during the operations were already facing trial in different law courts.
