Dunukofia indigenes congratulate Soludo on re-election, demand more developmental projects

The indigenes of Dunukofia Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra have congratulated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election victory at the just-concluded Anambra Governorship Election held on Nov. 8, 2025.

This is contained in a statement issued and signed by the Deputy Chairman, Dunukofia Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe Emeka Ilouno, on behalf of the Dunukofia Traditional Rulers Council on Tuesday.

Ilouno, who is also Eze Dunu, said that Soludo’s overwhelming mandate at the poll remained a powerful testament to the trust, admiration, and appreciation the good people of Anambra State have for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to building a live-able and prosperous destination state.

“I, Igwe (Dr) Emeka Ilouno, the Deputy Chairman, Dunukofia Traditional Rulers Council, and acting with the gracious permission of the Clan Head of Dunukofia, Igwe (Dr) Robert Eze, Okofia VI, hereby extend, on behalf of the entire leadership and people of Dunukofia Clan, our heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

“We appreciate God for your resounding victory in the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial elections —winning 21 out of 21 local government areas.

“In Dunukofia, we remain especially grateful for your productive partnership with our dynamic and result-driven Local Government Mayor (Chairman) which ensured that our communities enjoyed significant dividends of your first tenure.

“We acknowledge with deep appreciation your impactful investments in road infrastructure across Ifitedunu, Ukpo, Nawgu, Umunnachi (earmarked), and Umudioka; the revitalisation of schools; the posting of qualified teachers; and the employment of many of our sons and daughters into the state’s educational workforce.

“We are equally delighted that you found several illustrious individuals from our clan worthy to serve in your high-performing team,” he said.

The royal father reminded Soludo of the major developmental projects he graciously promised the council area — particularly the Export Emporium (in Ukpo/Ukwulu communities axis) and the Industrial Park (in Ifitedunu community).

“We call for the construction of a major interconnecting road linking Ukpo (in Dunukofia LGA), Abba (in Njikoka LGA), Ifitedunu, Umudioka, Ogbunike (in Oyi LGA); and Ogidi (in Idemili North LGA).

“You should also remember the conversion of the well-equipped Advanced Skills Acquisition Centre, Ifitedunu, into a fully functional Technical/Trade Institution. We trust in your commitment to these transformative initiatives,” he said.

Ilouno, who is the Traditional Ruler of fitedunu Ancient Kingdom, prayed God to continue to endow the governor with exceptional wisdom, courage, and strength “as you drive forward your bold vision of transforming Anambra into the Dubai–Taiwan of Africa”.

“We look forward, with great optimism, to the remarkable progress and renewed prosperity your second tenure will bring to our beloved state.

“The people of Dunukofia have spoken clearly and decisively with their votes. We are proud to stand firmly with you as you continue the good work,” he added.
