Ede (Osun) (FLOWERBUDNEWS): Ede indigenes are now in joyous mood as the ongoing road construction in the town reaches asphalt level, signaling completion like many others in different parts of the state.

A FLOWERBUDNEWS Correspondent who visited the project site reports that workers were seen working briskly on the stretch from Agip to Oke-gada with different types of machineries bringing asphalt, emitting heat

Finishing touches were seen being put to the sidewalks and pavements, while the asphalted portions look aesthetically black and alluring.

A resident Alh. Adegoke Badmus commended Gov. Ademola Adeleke for the approving the road project, which he noted, would boost economy of Ede and vehicular movements.

Alhaji Badmus said that Governor Adeleke deserved praises for executing infrastructural projects, especially Roads and bridges across the state simultaneously.

He prayed for more GOD’s mercy and guidance for the governor, noting that the Ede main road which is being constructed like those in many other towns of the state was an eyesore and was endangering lives of residents with incessant motorcycle crashes due to deep portholes etc.

Another resident, Engr. Bayo Lukman commended, ENGINEC INTEGRATED ENGINEERING LTD, the contractor handling Agip to Oke-Gada stretch of the construction for doing a good job.

”As a civil Engineer, and a native of Ede, I have been keenly following this project, and am happy with the quality of materials and process being used,” Engr. Lukman told FLOWERBUDNEWS.

”I commend Governor Adeleke for giving the road project to a competent contractor, but I also wish to urge the contractor not to relax because we will be monitoring till the end, and will shout if we notice any fault,” Engr. Lukman said.

The Project Manager of ENGINEC INTEGRATED ENGINEERING LTD, Engr. Abdulsalam A. K, said that all efforts have been made to ensure that the work was completed to the highest standard.

”We paid special attention to all the different stages of this construction work and we are ensuring that this asphalt stage is done to the best quality and standard,” Engr. AbdulSalam said.

”I assure you, the people will enjoy this dual carriage way,’: the Project Manager told FLOWERBUDNEWS.
