The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has addressed issues related to the Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) application process, following recent upgrades to payment platforms by Nigerian financial institutions.
The NIS Comptroller General, Kemi Nandap, made this clear in a statement signed by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Udo, on Saturday in Abuja.
Nandap reassured the public that all NIS platforms remain operational and encouraged applicants to submit online applications from home, using bank cards for smooth payment processing.
“The Service is aware of the challenges caused by system upgrades on payment platforms by Nigerian financial institutions. However, all NIS platforms are fully functional.
“Visa applicants are advised to apply for Visa-On-Arrival (VOA) from the comfort of their homes and complete payments online using their bank cards, as instructed on the portal for easy transactions.
“Any inquiries regarding the Service should be directed to the official channels,” she stated.
For more information, applicants can visit the official website: www.immigration.gov.ng, voa.immigration.gov.ng, or contact the NIS via X (@nigimmigration),

Nandap reiterated the NIS’s commitment to continually improving the ease of obtaining a Visa-On-Arrival (VOA).
