Calabar (Flowerbudnews): Arc. James Onun Ikpi’s tenure as Director of Physical Planning, University of Calabar has been renewed, while the Governing Council has also approved the appointment of Engr. Adeniyi Emmanuel Daodu as the Acting Director of Works.
According to separate letters of appointments signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel O. Egbe, Council took the decision at its 169th Meeting held on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
While the Director of Physical Planning’s appointment is for another term of four (4) years with effect from October 10, 2024, Engr. Adeniyi’s appointment as Ag. Director of Works, also with effect from October 10, 2024 is for a period of three (3) months in the first instance.

According to Adeniyi’s letter, his appointment as Acting Director is following the expiration of the tenure of the former Director of Works.
Council expressed the hope that both officers would discharge their duties creditably for the betterment of the University.
