Ede (Osun) The Executive state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has reiterated his administration steadfastness and commitment to ensure the safety of all corps members posted the state.
He stated this during the swearing -in ceremony of corps members of the 2024 Batch “B” Stream ll set deployed to the state at the NYSC orientation camp in Ede.
The Governor who was represented by his deputy, prince Kola Adewusi admonished the corps members to participate in all the activities in the camp to have a successful service year.
He said the orientation exercise would provide them with opportunity to learn vocational skills and set up business of their own instead of searching for jobs after their one year national service.
He urged them “to be worthy ambassador of the state whose hospitality had gone a long way to make them feel at home”.
According to him: “its important to remind you that the orientation course encompass para-military drills, social, sanitation, lectures, sports noble self-developing skills and entrepreneurship development skills.
Earlier, the state coordinator, Mr Agbor Obim advised the corps
members to
sustain the high level of discipline and responsibility they had demonstrated so far, and in particular after the swearing -in ceremony today, especially by remaining resourceful, creative and compliant with the camp rules and regulations.
“As you may be aware, the scheme has done very well in the promotion of national unity intergration, promotion of discipline and has helped vigorously to contribute to the accelerated growth and development of the nation ‘s economy.
He commended the state governor, Ademola Adeleke and N Y S C national coordinator, Brig. General Yashau Ahmed for their continuous assistance to the N Y S C scheme in the state .
