Nigerian Army Declares Lance Corporal Festus Igenkhai Wanted

Investigations by our correspondent have uncovered disturbing details surrounding one Lance Corporal Festus Igenkhai, a now-disgraced soldier of the Nigerian Army, who has gone rogue after abandoning his post and responsibilities to chase clout on social media.

Enlisted barely four years ago, Igenkhai has since been declared Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) by the Nigerian Army after he deserted his duty post on November 8, 2024, in clear violation of military regulations. Our checks confirm that he is currently under investigation for gross misconduct, breach of military discipline, and desertion offences considered serious within the Armed Forces.

Before his cowardly disappearance, the soldier had twice faced internal military trials over violations of the military’s strict social media policy, including releasing unapproved content online.
Rather than learn his lesson, Igenkhai became even more brazen, adopting the handle “EX Man” on TikTok, where he now spews reckless and defamatory content aimed at discrediting senior officers including the service chiefs and sowing disaffection within the ranks.

In a string of delusional videos, he peddles unsubstantiated claims and half-baked conspiracy theories, portraying himself as a whistleblower while in reality behaving like a disgruntled dropout who could not live up to the standards of the uniform he once wore. Multiple security sources confirm that none of his allegations have been backed by evidence – just empty noise aimed at misleading unsuspecting viewers and stirring unnecessary tension.

Let’s be clear: this is not a patriot. This is a fugitive a man who betrayed his oath, abandoned his comrades, and now hides behind a smartphone camera to hurl insults at the same institution that once gave him pride, purpose, and uniform.

As things stand, it was exclusively gathered that nationwide manhunt has been launched for Lance Corporal Festus Igenkhai. The security forces are working around the clock to locate and bring him to justice for violating the sacred principles of discipline and loyalty that bind the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Army reaffirms commitment of ‘Operation Udo Ka’ to security, professionalism in S/East

The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed the commitment of Joint Task Force South-East, code-named ‘Operation Udo Ka’, to security and professionalism in all its operations within the South-East.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Spokesman of Operation UDO KA, Lt.-Col. Jonah Unuakhalu, in Enugu on Wednesday.

Unuakhalu noted that the attention of the Headquarters of Operation UDO KA had been drawn to a recent broadcast and publication attributed to Mazi Chinasa Nworu on Radio Biafra and some social media platforms.

He said the broadcast and publication contained unfounded allegations aimed at discrediting the integrity and operational successes of the Task Force.

“Since its inception in 2023, Operation UDO KA has periodically held meetings to assess its operational effectiveness and refine its strategies.

“These reviews are conducted in line with international best practices and underscore the Task Force’s commitment to accountability and transparency. The most recent review meeting took place on May 27, 2025.

“It is deeply concerning that certain individuals appear to be aligned with elements seeking to instill fear and disrupt the peace and security of the South-East region.

“Such individuals circulated narratives that are not only misleading but also detrimental to ongoing efforts to promote stability and safeguard lives and property,” he said.

Unuakhalu, who is also the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations 82 Division, noted that the allegations that Army Commanders in the South-East held a meeting “to coordinate attacks on innocent civilians is entirely false and unfounded.”

He said, “There are no plans, explicit or implicit by the Nigerian Army or its commanders, to target law-abiding citizens.

“The narrative is not just a fabrication but a deliberate psychological approach aimed at spreading fear, sowing mistrust, and isolating communities.

“Such misinformation is designed to discourage the public from going about their legitimate activities and prevent students from participating in the papers of ongoing West African Examinations Council (WAEC) scheduled for May 30, 2025.”

The spokesman emphasised that “Operation UDO KA remains committed to its constitutional responsibility of protecting all law-abiding citizens and maintaining peace in the Region.”

He urged members of the public especially South-East residents to disregard the malicious claims and continue with their lawful endeavours without fear or hesitation.

82 Division Chief Imam tasks Nigerians on support for constituted authorities

    By Flowerbudnews

The Chief Imam of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Lt.-Col. Husein Eleje, has tasked Nigerians on support and respect for constituted authorities for the country to make sustainable progress.

Eleje gave the task on Sunday at the Abakpa Military Cantonment Eid Prayer Ground, Enugu, where Enugu State Muslim faithful held their Eid Prayers making the end of the Ramadan fasting for Muslims worldwide.

He noted that every true Nigerian owes constituted authorities “total diligence and obedience” both in words, actions and in our daily prayers for their success.

The cleric said, “Being obedient means being eager to work with them and show them full support as well as compliance to rules governing the country.

“The constitution is for the leaders and the lead; we should be able to carry out the task given to us or those suppose to be done by us as the lead, since they (leaders) cannot work alone or make huge progress on their own.

“The leaders most times depend on the lead. The society is structured in form of a “pyramidic order”, where we have few leaders at the apex and vast majority of the lead at lower strata of the pyramid.

“Looking at the society from a pyramidic order, you see that the President cannot do much if he does not have support and buy-in of most Nigerians to implement programmes and succeed in them all.”

The chief imam urged Nigerians to work selflessly for the good and progress of the country, adding that Almighty Allah had richly blessed the country with natural and human resources to kick-out poverty and lack among Nigerians.

The cleric applauded Muslim faithful for living exemplary life-style during the Ramadan as well as daily supplication for Almighty Allah’s forgiveness, bounties and blessings upon their neighbours, communities and society.

He urged Muslims faithful to maintain all good traits and attitudes imbibed during Ramadan and continue to live peacefully with their neighbors and extend acts of charity and love to others.

“We should develop the spirit of brotherhood and live as one entity as well as ‘be our brother’s keep’ to make things work smoothly within our neighbourhoods, communities and society at large,” he added.

In the course of the prayers, Eleje prayed for protection and success of the armed forces especially Nigerian Army troops and in their various theatres of operations within and outside the country.

He prayed for divine wisdom, protection and direction for the Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Tinubu; the Chief of Defense Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa; the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede; the General Officer Commanding of 82 Division, Maj.-Gen. Oluyemi Olatoye and other commanders.

He noted that “righteous living is a Commandment from Almighty Allah” and to be practiced daily and “not something to observe occasionally when its suits one”.

According to him, righteous living should be an embodiment of a true faithful life and not only during Ramadan fasting.

“If, somebody can cultivate the habit of accommodating others and living in peace with one’s neighbours, supporting the weak and less privileged and living a peaceful life and carrying out works of charity.

“Be someone that strives to build peace among people and intervene to settle misunderstanding among people as well as a keeper of one’s brother.

“These behaviours should not be seasonal but what should be clearly practiced by all faithful that heeds to the instruction of Almighty Allah’s Commandment,” he said.

The cleric admonished the faithful to totally live out their lives as if they are in the month of Ramadan for the rest of the year.

“A Muslim that have the fear of Almighty Allah will not go and take what does not belong to him or her; cause havoc or hatred between two people and disregard fellow human by not giving them due respect,” he added.

Desist from get-rich-quick mentality, lifestyle – 82 Div Chief Imam cautions youths

    By Flowerbudnews

The Chief Imam of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army, Lt.-Col. Husein Eleje, cautions youths against get-rich-quick mentality and lifestyle.

Eleje told newsmen in  Enugu on Thursday that if anyone, especially youths wished  to get wealth, he or she must be hardworking, diligent and draw closer to God.

According to him, only Almighty Allah blesses one with wealth devoid of sorrows at the end.

The cleric noted that the growing incidences of get-rich-quick among youths without having any tangible thing doing must be stopped and discouraged.

“For those taking to ritual killings and dismembering of human body for wealth, Almighty Allah has not given permission to anybody to kill anyone for any reason.

“To our Creator, life is sacred. Even the animal you own and rear domestically, you must not kill any without a reason; if not, you have a question to answer.

“As your life is precious to you; so also the lives of others are precious to them and Almighty Allah has not given permission to anybody to take the life of the other,” he said.

Eleje said that as it is written in the Holy Books – both the Holy Quran and Bible – the punishment for this evil is inevitable and Almighty Allah has His ways of executing the punishment
