Abuja: The Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Sheikh Abdullahi Pakistan has resigned from his position.
Sources at the Commission confirmed to FLOWERBUDNEWS that the NAHCON boss resigned late on Monday night.
ISheikh Pakistan was appointed in 2024 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, replacing Malam Jalal Ahmad Arabi.
Pakistan’s Monday resignation was the climax of alleged issues in the course of his leadership of NAHCON involving various negative allegations.
Sources alleged that the NAHCON boss was criticised over his handling of this year’s hajj eith fears that many would-be pilgrims may not perform the yearly pilgrimage.
One NAHCON source who pleaded not to be mentioned said: “Saudi authorities had earlier given Monday, February 9 as the last day for the capturing of the pilgrims’ papers.
