The long-running paternity dispute involving Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken another turn as a social media user has claimed to be the biological father of Anuoluwapo Adeleke.
Describing himself as a Davido lookalike, he has gone viral after claiming to be the biological father of 12-year-old Ayo Labinjoh’s daughter.
In a video circulating online, the man stated that he needed to confess the girl was his daughter and not Davido’s.
He further noted how DNA tests proved that the singer wasn’t the father of the said child.
“I am anu real father I have to confess it’s not davido, the baby mama thought it was davido because we look alike
“Sorry to say this Nigerians, Anu is my daughter. I’ll drop evidence and proves because I came to realize e don tay when person don dey do b@d thing.
“Right from time, I’ve been Davido’s die-hard fan right from Owerri. There was a time I went to a club to vibe, actually I’m one of the biggest ballers in owerri. Ask around they’ll tell you.
“She saw me and thought I was Davido. I told her I’m not but she was so excited and followed me to my hotel.
“Anu is my daughter no be play. Davido please forgive me,” he stated
The Eagle Online recall that Ayo Labinjoh’s teenage daughter, Aanu, had written an open letter addressed to Davido, demanding a paternity test to establish her claim.
While denying ever seeing the lady before, Davido, in a series of posts on X, stated that five DNA tests conducted before now showed that Aanu Adeleke is not his daughter.
However, Ayo Labinjoh maintained her position, dismissing the DNA test results and insisting that the singer is her daughter’s biological father, describing the tests as fake.
Amid the growing controversy, Adedeji Adeleke stepped in to defend his son.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he revealed that the paternity tests were carried out on both Davido and his cousin, fellow singer B-Red.
Dr. Adeleke also explained how the family first became aware of the child, citing documents, photographs and correspondence allegedly linking Davido to Anu’s mother, which he said prompted the family to pursue what he described as extensive DNA testing to resolve the matter.
