Obilade: Why Continuity Is Key to Nigeria’s Progress Under Tinubu
By Adewale Owoade
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister (Dr.) Gbenga Obilade, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s policies have positively impacted lives and communities across the South-West and Nigeria at large.
Obilade, who is also the founder of the Gbenga Obilade Foundation, stressed the importance of continuity and stability in national leadership, urging supporters to rally behind the President’s re-election bid.
He highlighted some of the President’s contributions to regional and national development, including the establishment of regional development commissions, rehabilitation of primary healthcare centres, and the creation of new universities.
”The reward for good work is more work. President Tinubu’s journey is not complete. His vision for the South-West and Nigeria must continue. Let us rally around our very own son of the soil.
” Let us stand firm and united in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027.

”This is not just about politics; it is about continuity, stability, and transformation. His leadership has already set us on the path of progress – let us not stop halfway. Together, let us give him the mandate to finish the work he has started, Obilade stated.
Speaking further, Obilade noted that the mission of his foundation is to empower communities, bridge development gaps, and eliminate barriers to collective prosperity.
According to him, education remains the bedrock of transformation, prompting the foundation’s investment in scholarships, mentorship programmes, and essential resources aimed at preparing young people to realise their dreams.
”Education remains the bedrock of transformation. At our foundation, we have invested in scholarships, mentorship programmes, and resources that prepare young people not only to dream but to achieve.
”When a child receives quality education, a whole community gains a leader, a builder, a reformer.
”We cannot talk about progress without addressing poverty. Through skills training, entrepreneurship development, and microfinance initiatives, we have helped men and women turn challenges into opportunities.
”By empowering people economically, we dismantle the structures of poverty and replace them with platforms for growth, innovation, and self-reliance,” he said

In his remarks, APC stalwart Mr. Mojeed Olaoya praised the foundation for its consistent support and commitment to President Tinubu, the APC, and the people of Nigeria. He urged party stakeholders to identify and address challenges that could hinder the President’s return to office in 2027.

Also speaking, the Oyo APC youth leader and women leader reaffirmed their readiness to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027
