Abuja (FLOWERBUDNEWS): The National President of the Building and Construction Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN), Alh. Fasasi Mohammed Jamiu has instructed artisans across the country to key-into President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s the various economic empowerment initiatives.
The BACSAAN Leader, who gave the admonition while addressing some members of the association who visited him on Tuesday at the BACSAAN National Headquarters in Abuja, urged the artisans to take the economic empowerment opportunities being providec by the Tinubu administration seriously.
”Please don’t sit on the fence, and don’t do sidon-look, get involved, approach the Federal Government economic initiative office nearest to you, register and supply all necessary information as may be required of you to enable you benefit,” the BACSAAN leader enjoined the visiting members.
”We all have only one life to live. so try and tap the current opportunities being offered by this administration to break the shackles of poverty and deprivation that have.sadly bedeviled artisans across the country over the years,’: he urged the artisans.
‘: I have done my findings personally and officially as your leader, I can assure you that the poverty alleviation initiatives being implemented by President Tinubu are real and already benefitting Nigerians from all walks of life,” Alh. Fasasi told the BACSAAN members.
”We are also working through the office of our mother. the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and daughter of President Tinubu, Dr. Mujidat Folashade Tinubu, to effectively reach the President for the evolution of an economic empowerment project to specifically target artisans nationwide,” Fasasi disclosed.
‘Through our interactions with them, several top officials of the Federal Government are also beginning to realise the potential of BACSAAN members across nation and trying to help the organisation and its teeming members gain more recognition and relevance with the current administration,” he stated.
The BACSAAN leader disclosed that to enhance participation of members in its activities, the Chairmen of the Association’s State Chapters have been urged to be more active and orient members towards benefitting from President Tinubu’s poverty alleviation initiatives.
” Though we are generally not politicians, our wish is for this President Tinubu Administration to become the most beneficial to artisans in the history of Nigeria,” Fasasi stressed.
Speaking earlier, one of the visiting artisans, Mr. Johnson Agbonyi, commended Alh. Fasasi for the BACSAAN efforts to better the lots of Nigerian artisans.
He urged them to strengthen discussions with the Federal Government to enable artisans nationwide benefit massively from the pesent Federal Government’s poverty alleviation initiatives.
BACSAAN is the national umbrella body for all artisans in Nigeria, including Masons, Welders, Iron Benders. Block Moulders, Painters, POP makers, electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters , Furniture Makers, among others.
BACSAAN membership strength, according to the Association’s leadership, is put at 25 million Nigerians (FLOWERBUDNEWS)
