The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi has appointed Prof. Janet Petters of the Department of Guidance and Counselling, as the new Director, Institute of Education, University of Calabar.
A letter of appointment signed by the Registrar of the University Dr. (Mrs) Chukwuka Icha indicates that the appointment is based on Prof. Petters track records of hard work and integrity and that the appointment is for a period of two years in the first instance with effect from 15th September, 2025.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Unit of the University of Calabar, and made available to FLOWERBUDNEWS.
Accordingly, the Vice Chancellor urged the new director to bring his wealth of experience to bear for effective service delivery towards the achievement of the goals of the present Administration.
By this letter also, other relevant sections of the University are being informed to accord the new director the necessary recognitions and courtesies associated with the office.
