Calabar (Flowerbudnews):  The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar and Chairman of Senate, Prof Florence Obi today announced the elevation of 20 Academics to the Professorial cadre.

10 of them were raised to the status of Professors, while the other 10 were promoted to the rank of Associate Professors, a statement by UNICAL Public Relations Unit has announced.

The new Professors are Akintomide Akintunde (Radiology), Iniobong Ebenghe Andy (Microbiology), Godwin Ibitham Ogban (MedicalMicrobiology), Moses Adah Ogana (Compt Science) and Stella Bassey (Guidance & Counselling).

Other newly appointed Professors are Mary Arikpo Iyam ( Vocational Education), Eyo Emmanuel Essien ( Marketing), Hodo Bassey Riman ( Banking& Finance) , Usen Friday Mbon (Edu Mgt) and Ayuk Atim Nchor (Forestry& Wildlife)

The Associate Professors are Queen Olubukola Ayeni ( Modern Language & Translation Studies), William Smart Inyang ( Accounting), Grace Onyia Edu (Curriculum & Teaching), Comfort Nkongho Agbor (Environmental Education), and Joyce Fidelis Akpan (Soil Science) .

The list also includes Ekperonne Babatunde Esu (Public Health), Anne Emmanuel Omori ( Adult/Industrial/Labour Education), Ededet Akpan Eno ( Pure & Applied Chemistry), Eyo Effiong Essien ( Computer Science) Udiba Ugumanim Udiba ( Zoology & Environmental Science.

The Vice Chancellor congratulated them and called for more devotion to the growth of the University.
