Dr. Oluwatoyin Alabi has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid Maolud, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In his goodwill message, Dr. Alabi described the day as a time for sober reflection on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his qualities of humility, justice, compassion, tolerance, and devotion to Allah.

Quoting from the Qur’an, he reminded Muslims of the divine purpose of the Prophet’s mission:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
“And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.” (Qur’an 21:107)

Dr. Alabi, an Igbaja community leader and star associate of President Bola Tinubu, emphasized that the Prophet’s life remains a guiding light for humanity and urged Muslims to emulate his noble character in their daily lives.

He further prayed that the celebration would strengthen the faith of the Muslim Ummah, foster unity, peace, and tolerance among Nigerians, and bring progress and prosperity to the nation.

“Eid Maolud is not just a celebration but a reminder of the values that bind us together as a people. May this blessed occasion inspire us to live by the Prophet’s example and continue to work for the growth and development of our communities and our country,” he stated.

Dr. Alabi concluded his message by wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful and joyous Eid Maolud celebration.
