Members of the Oosa Gbebi Loogun family of Ede, Osun State, have publicly appealed to the Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Laminisa II, and other stakeholders.
In a statement made available to Amiloaded on Thursday, the family expressed regret over any actions or statements that led to a misunderstanding with the Timi in council.
They requested the lifting of the suspension placed on Chief Kabiru Ajibade Jimoh, the Loogun of Ede, and the reversal of any other sanctions imposed.
“We hold the Timi of Edeland and all others in very high esteem,” the family stated, while seeking forgiveness and reconciliation.
The family specifically apologized to Alhaji Adam Akintunde Akindeere, clarifying that the earlier accusation of land sales was baseless and from a wrong source.
They acknowledged and appreciated the roles of Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye and others in promoting peace and stability in Ede.
In their words, “We pray that God shall continue to foster peace and harmony among all of us in Ede.”
The family’s representatives include, Alhaji Aminu Yusuff (Mogaji Gbebi compound)Alhaji Idriz Babatunde Jimoh, Alhaji muthasir Aminu, Makaila Jimoh Amobi, Mr Kabiru Ajibade Jimoh, Abdgafar Aminu, YUNUS OYETUNDE Jimoh, Alhaja Jimoh Sidikat, Jimoh badirat.
The statement reads, “The entire members of Oosa Gbebi Loogun family of Ede, Osun State have compassionately appealed to the Time of Edeland, HRM Oba Munirudeen Laminisa II, the Timi In-Council, Alhaji Adam and all other stakeholders including His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke. The family prayed for forgiveness from whomsoever that felt offended over the issue that caused a misunderstanding between the family and the Timi in council. The family appeals for a lift of the suspension placed on the Loogun of Ede, Chief Kabiru Ajibade Jimoh, the loogun of LOGUN, and all others sanctions.
“The family recounted any utterance, whether oral or written, done in a manner that has caused anyone insult, trauma, and others.
“We hold the Timi of Edeland and all others in a very high esteem, and we believe that, as children, we will be forgiven and magnanimously allowed to join hands with others to move Ede to a greater height.
“Also, we specifically apologize to Alh Adam Akintunde Akindeere to please forgive us about the wrong accusation of selling of land. The accusation is false from a wrong person.
