The Chairman, New Niger Development Project (NNDP), Alhaji Mustapha Abubukar-Bida has commended Gov. Umar Bago’s visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of Niger’s citizens.
“Your initiatives will have a lasting impact,” Abubukar-Bida said in a congratulatory message to mark the Governor’s two years in office
He said, “You are indeed a God-sent leader, bringing transformative change and hope to the people of Niger State.
” Your dedication to development and progress is truly inspiring. Your initiatives will have a lasting impact.”
According to the Chairman, the Farmer Governor’s leadership and vision have positively impacted Niger State, adding, “this is glaringly evident in your impressive scorecard.
“We commend your commitment to development and progress.
You are indeed a God-sent leader.
“You are tirelessly bringing transformative change and hope to the people of Niger State. Your dedication to development and progress is truly inspiring.”
The NNDP boss further expressed sincere gratitude to Bago for serving with passion and integrity.
The Chairman also noted:”No doubt the leadership of Farmer Governor in these two years has been marked by giant developmental strides that the state has never witnessed since it was created in 1975.
“The steadfast commitment of the Farmer Governor to the ideals of democracy, inclusive development, and bold steps in governance, had repositioned the state and placed it on an upward trajectory.”
Abubakar-Bida also stated that under the leadership of the indefatigable Farmer Governor Umaru-Bago, Niger State had witnessed a renewed focus on economic revitalisation, infrastructural development, social investment and strengthening of institutions.
He maintained that the distinctive and visionary leadership of the Governor has continued to inspire and endear many to him, regardless of political differences.
On road construction, he commended Gov. Bago’s intention to initiate the construction of 2,000 kilometers of roads in Niger State, with a focus on connecting communities and boosting economic growth.
According to him, the Minna-Bida dual carriageway and the Bida ring roads and recent launching of 20 years Bida development brochure projects.
Abubakar-Bida, the governor plans to install streetlights, build interchanges, and construct underpasses along the Minna-Bida dual carriageway
He explained that the Governor’s developmental strides has placed the state on a global map within the two years he has been in office.
Other projects he highlighted were the five kilometer roads across the 25 local government areas, and the Minna township road projects which when completed will ease traffic in the state capital.
The Chairman however disclosed that the New Niger agenda is not just a slogan but a dream that must be realized, expressing the readiness and commitment of his agency towards the realization of the dream.
“The New Niger Agenda of His Excellency, the Farmer Governor is not just a slogan on our lips, but a dream that must be realized, and we are ready and committed to the realization of this dream,” he added.
“In an effort to ensure food security, Gov Umar-Bago has flagged off the corn harvest of Niger Foods, a mechanized agriculture project aimed at achieving food sufficiency.”
He also lauded the Governor’s effort in prioritising inclusive governance, people’s trust, and transparency in his administration.
The Chairman also lauded the Governor for establishing one among the first class International Airports named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, among other infrastructural development projects witnessed by the good people of Niger State
The Sarkin Dawaki Nupe, however, said that the significant milestone the Umaru-Bago-led administration and his vision for a ‘New Niger’ has made it worthy of celebration.
The Chairman of NNDP, then, wished Gov. Bago more strength, wisdom, and success as he continues with the service of making Niger State great again.
