A recent autopsy report has confirmed that Shimite Bello, the Delta State Governor’s Special Adviser on Trade and Export, passed away due to complications arising from unmanaged hypertension.

The tragic news has stirred widespread grief on social media, with many expressing their condolences and others speculating about the possible involvement of her husband in her sudden death.

The autopsy, reportedly sponsored by a senator, revealed that Bello had been suffering from severe hypertension, which had not been properly managed.

The report further indicated that this condition had led to significant complications, including enlarged organs, which ultimately contributed to her untimely death.

The findings have put to rest earlier rumors that suggested foul play, confirming instead that the cause of death was medical in nature.

Despite the autopsy results, the situation surrounding her death remains clouded by controversy.

The Delta State Police Command, reacting to concerns raised by the deceased’s family, launched an investigation into the matter, placing her husband in detention.

This move followed threats from her in-laws who were suspicious of the circumstances of her passing.

However, in an effort to clear his name, a close associate of Shimite Bello’s husband, Olatunde Adekunle Babalola, took to social media to dispute the rumors.

In a Facebook post, Babalola confirmed the autopsy’s findings and emphasized that Bello’s death was a tragic consequence of poorly managed hypertension.

He also revealed that Shimite Bello had been poised for a significant political future, with plans to run for local government chairman in the 2027 elections.

Addressing the rumors, Babalola explained, “Autopsy has been conducted and I got a supervising pathologist.

My wife had a very serious case of hypertension which wasn’t managed. Most of her organs as well were seriously affected.”

In a final twist, Babalola claimed that Shimite Bello’s family had taken her body to an unknown location, prompting a response from law enforcement.

This action led to further public scrutiny and police intervention.

As the investigation into the circumstances of her death continues, the official cause remains clear: hypertension and its severe complications.

While rumors persist, the autopsy report stands as the key piece of evidence in the case, providing a definitive explanation for the loss of the beloved public figure.
