Oshogbo (,FLOWERBUDNEWS): The MEGA PROJECTS currently being executed across Osun State by the Governor Ademola Adeleke Administration will be of world class standard.
Engr. Bashir Bello, the Permanent Secretary, Osun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure gave the assurance while speaking in an interview with FLOWERBUDNEWS on Thursday in Oshogbo.
Engr. Bello said that the achievement of world class standard in all the MEGA PROJECTS was the desire and instruction of Governor Adeleke on assumption of office in November 2022.
The Permanent Secretary told FLOWERBDNEWS that Governor Adeleke had approved the involvement of Engineers from the two Engineering professional bodies in the country; COREN and NSE in the supervision and monitoring of the ongoing MEGA PROJECTS across the state.
Engr. Bello said that the involvement of NSE and COREN by Governor Adeleke was to ensure that there was no room for compromise on his desired international standard and quality.
The Permanent Secretary disclosed that Governor Adeleke had facilitated observatory visits to the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States for the supervising Engineering team to see similar projects under construction in these countries to ensure that a similar quality and standard was replicated in the Osun projects.
He said that while in those countries, many projects were visited by the Osun project monitoring and supervision team to benefit from their experience, expertise and quality works.
Engr. Bello said that to achieve the highest standard possible, Governor Adeleke also approved the engagement of Engineers who worked on the famous 3rd Mainland Bridge as Consultant and part of the monitoring team for the Osun State MEGA PROJECTS.
”My team and myself have been working tirelessly to ensure that the projects are of the desired high standard,” assuring that the projects would become a source of pride to all indigenes and residents of Osun State.
”With what the Governor is doing, everyone would feel the benefit,” adding that the MEGA PROJECTS would be finished to a very high aesthetic taste and quality.
