Ede (Osun):  (Flowerbudnews): The National Youth service corps (NYSC) members have been advised to accept their posting and be agents of change contributing toward the development of their host communities.

Osun state NYSC coordinator, Mr Agbor Ndoma Obim gave the advice on Tuesday during the terminal parade and closing ceremony of 2024 BATCH “B” STREAM II at the NYSC orientation camp, Ede.

Mr Obim, who spoke on behalf of NYSC Director General, Brig. Y. D. Ahmed urged the corpers to take their service seriously by shunning evil vices and relationship that can put their life in danger.

According to him, over the past few weeks, you have been introduced to various rigorous trainings and ideas that equipped you with the skills needed to excel during the service year.

He said further, “I am confident that the friendship that you have forged, the skills and experience you have shared will serve as a solid foundation for your contribution to the nation’s development.”

He also charged them to continue uphold the values of the scheme as the communities where they would serve were eagerly awaiting their impacts by approaching their assignments with dedication, humility and willingness to serve.

He emphatically revered to them as the ambassadors of national unity and development, that the journey would be filled with challenges and opportunities, urging them to embrace each moment with an open mind and positive attitude.

He used the occasion to appreciate the Director of South West Area office 1 and Area office 2, Mrs Olubukola Abiodun and Mrs Fransisca Olaleye and other camp officials in ensuring the success of the orientation.
