Lagos, The traditional Ruler of Ijora in Lagos State (Oroja of Ijora), Oba Fatai Ojora, has urged dialogue rather than confrontation in conflict resolution.

The royal father spoke against the backdrop of the proposed nationwide protest slated to begin on Thursday, Today and end on Aug. 10.

The protest is against the economic hardship in the country.

The royal father advised the youth to always try using dialogue to resolve conflicts with governments before resorting to protest.

Ojora said that there were different ways to present a matter, urging that a peaceful approach was the best.

He appealed to the planned protesters to give President Bola Tinubu’s administration some time to improve the economy.

Ojora said that the administration was barely a year old, adding that the president had a listening ear.

He said that the Federal Government could also seek dialogue with the youth to resolve misunderstanding, deepen peace and avert violence.

“I know what transpired during the #EndSARS protest in my kingdom, and I don’t want such to happen again.
