Abuja (Flowerbudnews) The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reiterated warnings to Nigerians to beware of substandard and falsified Asian Ampicillin/Cloxacillin oral suspension.
The falsified product was discovered on sale in Kano State NAFDAC Operatives recently following credible intelligence efforts, surveillance and enforcement operation.
NAFDAC Director General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye said in an updated public alert monitored by Flowerbudnews that the distribution, and sale of substandard and falsified (SF) Asian Ampicillin/Cloxacillin Oral Suspension and other Asian Products in Nigeria was illegal.

NAFDAC is informing the public of the illegal distribution and marketing of a substandard and falsified Asian Ampicillin/Cloxacillin oral suspension in Kano State.
About 2,460 bottles of this product were found in six shops following intelligence and surveillance by NAFDAC.
AMPICILLIN+CLOXACILLIN is composed of two antibiotics, namely: ampicillin and cloxacillin. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, bones, lungs, and post-operative wound infections. It is also used to treat urinary tract infection, meningitis……gonorrhea and infections of the stomach or intestine.
