Abuja (Flowerbudnews): The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) has commenced interview for selection of successful candidates for its Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS) for 2024/2025.
The interview process, which commenced on Monday May 20th is scheduled to run until May 24th in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, marking a crucial step in the scholarship selection process, the Head of PTDF OSS, Mrs Bolanle Kehinde-Agboola, disclosed.

Kehinde-Agboola said that ”this year, the PTDF received a total of 20,356
applications, with 16,090 candidates applying for the Master’s (MSc) program and 4,266 for the Doctorate (PhD) program”.
She said that ”following a rigorous screening process, 5,733 candidates were shortlisted for the interview stage—comprising 3,853 MSc applicants and 1,880 PhD applicants’.
PTDF emphasized that the interview phase ”is a critical component of the selection process during which candidates are evaluated on various criteria, including, but not limited to academic performance, research potential, and the relevance of the proposed study to the development of the Oil and Gas”.
The Fund reiterated its committment to nurturing talents and contributing to the nation’s human capital development in the Oil and Gas Sector. (Flowerbudnews)
