For allegedly operating torture camp in Mgbuka Obosi market axis, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, the founder and leader of Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, otherwise called Biafran Independent Movement, BIM, has reportedly relieved the Awka North Regional Administrator, Chief Arinze Igbani, of his appointment and subsequently suspended him.
According to Uwazuruike, “Arinze Igbani, who has been replaced with Chief Sunday Ozor, operates a torture camp where he used especially to extort money from old Motor spare parts markets Dealers, Mgbuka Obosi”.
“MASSOB-BIM is more important to me than any person and I must take any strict measure to protect the movement even when it hurts anybody”, he said.
Uwazuruike who made this disclosure to newsmen in Onitsha through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mazi Chris Mocha, warned that he would deal with any person or persons found to be using MASSOB name to cause trouble in the society.
He however urged traders in the market to arrest and hand over to the nearest police station, any MASSOB-BIM member found indulging in extortion.
He said that he attached more importance to Biafra struggle than any person, stressing that, “MASSOB is not Governor, senator and President”.
He recalled that there have been complaints on the anti- MASSOB activities against Chief Igbani.
