The Chapel of Christ the Light, an inter- denominational Church; Alausa is to mark its 20th anniversary, with the theme, ‘Harvest of Grace.”
The Chapel was established in 1999 by the Lagos State Government to cater for the needs of Christian community in Lagos State.
Speaking during a press briefing, the 2nd Vice Chairman/Chairman 20th Anniversary Committee, Prince Oluranti Olufon reeled out the programmes.
The anniversary, according to Olufon will play host to the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the State First Lady, Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, State House of Assembly members and top Government officials and other dignitaries.
According to Olufon, the programmes lined up for the anniversary include: Road Show in and around the neighbourhood of Ikeja to evangelize on Wednesday 13th November which will be followed with a Revival.
Thursday 14th November is going to be another Revival.
Friday 15th November is a Charity day event and thereafter free Medical and also an open Crusade.
Saturday 16th November is the anniversary luncheon, harvest night and awards for various recognition and to round up the programme of events is Sunday17th November with a Thanksgiving Celebration to draw curtain on the week-long programme of activities
Prince Olufon enjoined “all members and other members of various churches as well as the general public to be part of the epoch making ceremony.
Also speaking, the presiding Chaplain, Rev. Ayo Oyadotun said, “it is by Lord’s grace that we have been existing over the years. The grace is bound to be available to everyone because the grace is in God’s hand.”
While answering question on how to manage religion with politics, Oyadotun said, “Politics actually originates from God. So how would you say, you want to leave God out of politics?
“Religion and politics go together, very well together. Managing the two together has a lot to do with us as human and our selfish interest as humanity,” he said.
