Four suspects in police net for raping 14-yr- old for 2 days in Anambra

A gang of four suspected cultists out of six has been arrested bypolice operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Anambra State for reportedly raping a 14-year-old student in Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects are said to have kept the victim in their custody and took turns on her for two days before luck ran out on them

Information has it that the victim, a student of a yet to be identified secondary school in that area was drugged and abducted by the suspects who threatened her with two double barrel guns.

They subsequently took her to an uncompleted building where they had canal knowledge with her for two days.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the incident said that the suspects had been arrested.

According to him, the suspects confessed membership of Junior Vikings (JVC).

While saying that two arms were recovered in their possession from the suspects, Mohammed said, “At about 8:15pm, operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested one Chinedu Umera,18, Uboh Oluebube, 16, Obute Chinwendu, 17 and Chukwuma Amazu, 18 years.

“Suspects and two others at large went to Anglican Girls School Oba on the 17/7/2019 at about 5pm, drugged and abducted a 14-year old girl.

“They took her to a building at Oba, robbed, threatened her with two double barrel guns and had unlawful carnal knowledge with her for two consecutive days.”

He further said that the victim was taken to the hospital for medical attention saying that the suspects would be charged to court after investigations have been concluded.
