Stop creating panic – Police warn residents against circulating voice recording of alleged robbery in Abuja

The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, CP Haruna G. Garba, on Thursday, warned residents against circulating the voice recording alleging a robbery gang in the nation’s capital.

But the PPRO, in the statement, urged residents to stop circulating the audio, stressing that it is creating panic and apprehension in the populace.

 

According to her, the command had already begun clamping down on such vehicles and their users.

 

The statement reads, “It may also interest the members of the public that there is an ongoing clampdown on the described vehicles (vehicles with foreign number plates) in the narrative, as the CP emphasises the Command’s commitment to improving the overall security towards the protection of lives and properties of residents without fear or favour
