Rep. Aderemi Oseni (APC–Ido/Ibarapa East) has said that the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu has come to stay.
Oseni stated this at the general meeting of Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF), held in Eruwa.
He also distributed hundreds bags of rice to residents across the constituency, describing the gesture as part of his ongoing commitment to liberating his people from economic and political hardship.
”I am not doing this because I want to become governor of Oyo State. I have never even declared for governorship election.
”All I am doing is just to encourage the people who should be liberated from political imprisonment,
”I want to put an era to sending mediocre into office to go and work. If you see what is happening to us as a nation, the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria is trying to change the narrative.
”You can see all the forces here and there, pressure left and right fighting that he cannot continue this work. I am joining forces with him to ensure that we liberate people from imprisonment.
”Renewed hope agenda has come and it has come to stay, nobody can change that decision,” Oseni said.
He said change often faces resistance, but the path to national rebirth must be taken with courage and unity of purpose among patriotic Nigerians committed to lasting transformation.
“When you are coming with something that is new, people will never embrace it. People hate change, change will always be resisted and we will fight it to the best of our ability with a view to liberating the people of Nigeria,” he said.
”All I am doing is just to express myself and tell people that change is possible, change is inevitable, change is the only solution to our problem that we have in Nigeria,” he said.
Chief Yemi Aderibigbe, the State Coordinator of Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF), said the initiative has been ongoing since 2019 and was not tied to any election campaign.
”We are here to appreciate our people, monitor their meeting and to see how they are faring. We are also here to distribute rice and monetary gift in the form of empowerment.
“We’ve extended this gesture to the entire Oyo State, so it is not political,” he said.
He stressed that the committee’s priority remained the welfare of the people, citing past empowerment projects including a recent multi-million naira donation of welding tools to artisans.
”Election or no election, we’ve been doing this continuously from 2019 to date, not that we are starting today.
“Even election cycle is coming in the next two years, not tomorrow or after tomorrow,” Aderibigbe added.
He concluded that the group was not desperate for power but rather driven by a desire to uplift lives through sustained humanitarian interventions across the state.
Oseni presented a brand-new car to a prominent APC leader, Chief Timothy Jolaoso, in Ibarapa East, on sideline of the event.
