The Progressive Students Movement (PSM), an NGO, has hailed President Bola Tinubu for resilience, compassion and inclusive governance that is yielding positive results and giving a sense of belonging to Nigerians.
The President of PSM, Amb Bestman Okereafor, gave the commendation on Wednesday in Enugu while joining the government and good people of Nigeria in celebrating 26 years of uninterrupted civil rule.
Okereafor noted that Tinubu’s tactics in upholding democracy in spite of all criticisms needed to be studied.
“We have seen the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2023 Elections, His Excellency Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State Gov. Sherrif Oborevwori, house of assembly members and entire structure decamping to the rulling party – APC.
“The same as the Akwa Ibom State Gov. Umo Eno and entire state PDP structure among others, all these development is as a result of President Tinubu’s deep understanding of democracy,” he said.
The PSM boss also commended FCT Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, Minister of Interior, Mr Bunmi Ojo, and the Minster of Youth, Mr Ayodele Olawande, for continuously adding value to the government of Tinubu.
“The PSM, which is also the Pan-African Students Movement, salutes Ogun State Gov. Dapo Abiodun and the good people of Ogun State the home state of Late Chief M.K.O. Abiola, on yet another June 12 celebration.
“We commend the governor for upgrading the MKO Abiola Stadium to a World class standard now Known as the MKO Abiola Sports Excellence Arena.
“The successful hosting of the recently concluded National Sports Festival and hosting an International friendly between the Super Falcons and their Cameroon counterparts are testaments to the international standard of the sports arena.
“We implore Gov. Abiodun to consider appointing a commissioner for youth development in the state,” he said.
Okereafor, however, called on Nigerians to remain optimistic that all would be well even as “Nigeria is on the path of greatness and renewing lost hopes under the watch of President Tinubu.”
“We hail our gallant security agents for all their sacrifices to secure Nigerians and we value, appreciate and cherish their inestimable contributions to the nation,” he added.
Okereafor called for celebration with a sober reflection on the sacrifices and fight connected to June 12 leading to the current uninterrupted democracy the country is enjoying.
