Oshogbo (FLOWERBUDNEWS) Residents of Okefia, the site of the Iconic Bridge being constructed by Gov. Ademola Adeleke’s administration have hailed the Governor for the steady progress in the execution of the mega project.
A Correspondent of FLOWERBUDNEWS who visited the site over the weekend, reports that several residents interviewed were excited and happy with the steady progress of the construction work.
A resident, Mr. Muib Atanda told FLOWERBUDNEWS that he has being monitoring the progress on the work and commended Gov. Adeleke for his consostency and commitment to executing the mega project for the social and economic benefits of the people.
Atanda said that ”the project has brought a lot of economic benefits to those of us living around Okefia as some of our children were employed as labourers and artisans’:.
”Two of my brothers have been engaged as artisans since the construction work began, and they have been very happy earning livelihood through this project,” Atanda said.
Another resident, Mr. Olabiyi Ayinde commended the Governor, stressing that the construction of the bridge was highly commendable as ‘:it is helping to put food on the table in many homes” through engagement as artisans, labourers and even food and beverages vendors whom, he noted, have been making brisk business since the construction work began.
Ayinde, a retired teacher said ‘:residents of Oshogbo will be very happy to pay Governor Adeleke back with massive voting to re-elect him as Governor next year”.
Several other residents interviewed, also spoke in the same vein, commending Governor Adeleke for the project and assuring him of ”pay back time nect year,” with massive votes.
FLOWERBUDNEWS reports that as a sign of nearing completion, Protectors were already being constructed around piers of the bridge.

An Engineer on the site told FLOWERBUDNEWS that the reinforced concrete protector was to safeguard the piers in case of being hit by a vehicular force. Future.
”Pier protector is a very important design to ensure that the piers, which carries weight from the beam etc, is never endangered,” the Engineer told FLOWERBUDNEWS.
He said that it ”is noteworthy that the Adeleke administration is currently executing several mega projects to redesign, modernise and improve social and economic conditions of major towns in the state”(FLOWERBUDNEWS)
