Ayede Poly Rector Salutes Prof. Is-haq Oloyede’s Courageous Response to 2025 UTME Challenges

Ayede (FLOWERBUDNEWS): The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Engr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE), has commended JAMB Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, for courageously taking responsibility for the technical glitch that affected the 2025 UTME.

FLOWERBUDNEWS reports that Dr. Abdul-Hameed gave the commendation via a statement by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sunday Adepoju.

The Rector saluted the exceptional leadership of the JAMB Registrar, noting that Prof. Oloyede demonstrated courageous and accountable response to the technical glitch encountered during the examination, emphasizing his dedication to maintaining education integrity in Nigeria.

Dr. Abdul-Hameed praised Prof. Oloyede’s response to the incident, saying ”his willingness to take responsibility and address the issue head-on exemplifies the kind of leadership we need in our educational institutions.”

The Rector said that Prof. Oloyede ”has set a high standard for transparency and accountability that inspires trust among candidates, parents, and educational stakeholders alike.”

”Prof. Oloyede’s commitment to excellence is not new; his transformative leadership during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor at the University of Ilorin laid the foundation for significant advancements in academic standards and infrastructure,” Dr. Abdul-Hameed stated.

“Under Prof. Oloyede’s guidance, the university embraced inclusivity, enhancing accessibility to education for all,” Dr. Abdul-Hameed noted, highlighting the societal impact of Oloyede’s vision,” the Rector noted.

”Since assuming his role at JAMB, Prof. Oloyede has implemented numerous reforms aimed at improving examination integrity and accessibility. Innovations such as the Computer-Based Test (CBT),” the Rector said.

He added that the innovative format ”has modernised the examination process, ensuring that assessments are both efficient and equitable.”

“These reforms reflect Prof. Oloyede’s deep-seated respect for Nigerian youth and their future. It is clear that he prioritizes the interests of candidates and maintains open communication with the public, fostering a culture of trust within the education sector,” the Rector stated.

”As the nation advances from the 2025 UTME, the importance of integrity-driven leadership cannot be overstated,” Engr. Dr. Abdul-Hameed said, expressing admiration for Prof. Oloyede’s efforts.
