Oshogbo.(FLOWERBUDNEWS): A Senior Osun State Government Official, Engr. Maruf Akanni Ojebode has commended Gov. Ademola Adeleke for his financial ingenuity in executing many mega projects for the benefits of the people without borrowing a penny.

Engr. Ojebode, who was speaking in an interview with FLOWERBUDNEWS in Oshogbo, said that the financial feat being achieved by Governor Adeleke in project execution was unprecedented in the history of Osun State.
”Governor Adeleke has not borrowed a penny to finance the so many infrastructural projects currently being executed by his administration in all the nook and cranny of the state,” he disclosed.
Engr. Ojebode, who is the Osun State Director of Highways in the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, stated that Governor Adeleke has been funding all the various developmental projects currently ongoing in the state through statutory allocation and internally generated revenue.
The Director of Highways, who has served osun state for many years, said that no past administration was comparable to the Gov. Ademola Adeleke government in the apparent desire to truly help and bring happiness and progress to the lives of the people.
”The policies of this (Governor Adeleke) administration is quite different and unequalled in the history of this state,” Engr. Ojebode told FLOWERBUDNEWS.
He disclosed that ”this (Gov. Adeleke) government is executing so many projects, and is paying salary and allowances as at when due, and is even paying backlog of workers’ salary not owed by it”.
‘We are all happy with the Governor,” Engr. Ojebode said, adding; ” when you have a government that is committed to the happiness of the electorate, definitely there will be progress in the life of the people”.
”In the history of this state, we have never had it so good,” the State Director of Highways,” Engr. Ojebode said.
He particularly commended Governor Adeleke for reposing high confidence in the professional capability and competence of Engineers in the service of the Osun State government.
”Governor Adeleke has made it possible for we engineers to effectively put our professional knowledge into practice,” Engr Ojebode told FLOWERBUDNEWS.
He said that the Governor has, unprecedentedly, involved Engineers in the service of the state in projects execution, saying;
”Allowing Engineers in the service of the state to put into practice, the knowledge they had in engineering profession has paid off,” by helping the state government to save money on the projects.
”It has paid off so far when compared to projects executed through 100% contract awards, the state government has made a lot of savings by executing through direct labour mode of execution,” Engr. Ojebode stressed.
”In a similar manner, the same mode of project execution has made it possible for the government to cover many projects across the nook and cranny of the state,” the Director of Highways said. (FLOWERBUDNEWS)
