Oshogbo ( Flowerbudnews) The Osun State Government has completed arrangements for the construction of an airport of international standard as part of its efforts to boost the economy of the state among other benefits.

The State Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Bashir Tokunbo Salami disclosed this in an interview with Flowerbudnews at the Government Secretariat, Oshogbo.

Hon. Salami said that the State Government had already secured approval for the construction of the airport from the Federal Government as part of the mega developmental projects of the Governor Ademola Adeleke Administration.

The Commissioner assured that construction work would begin at the site already earmarked for the airport in the next few weeks

He disclosed that the state government had also completed arrangements to undertake a massive lightening-up of the state with solar street lights.

Dr. Salami said that a total of about 25,000 solar – lights were being procured by the state government to light up different areas of the state.

”The roads we are building all round the state would be beautified with street lights,” Dr. Salam told Flowerbudnews, adding; ” in a few weeks, you will be seeing street lights all around”.

On how the State Government is managing to execute so many developmental projects, Hon. Salami attributed the increasing success being recorded by the state government to Gov Adeleke:s determination, focus and fear of GOD.

The Commissioner for Special Duties described Governor Ademola Adeleke as a Governor who does not request for anything from anybody and is blocking all financial leakages.

”With our massive ongoing projects, there is no idle fund,” Dr. Salami said.
