Ambassador Marshall Jonathan Ojadah, Global President of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC), has urged concerned and aggrieved Nigerian citizens to end the ongoing protests and engage in peaceful dialogue with the Federal Government.
He made this call during his inauguration as Grand Patron of the Nigerian MiniFootball Association (Super Spartan Eagles of Nigeria) at his residence on Friday, August 9, 2024.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ojadah emphasised the importance of peaceful coexistence, stating, “Football is a powerful tool for promoting peace and unity. At UNIPGC, we strongly advocate for peaceful dialogue and deliberation, and our mission is to promote peace over violence.”
He appealed to Nigerians, including protesters, to cease the protests and give President Tinubu’s administration the opportunity to implement necessary transformational changes.
“We empathise with the masses’ pain and understand the critical decisions and policies the Federal Government is enacting to improve citizens’ lives,” he said.
Ambassador Ojadah concluded by urging Nigerians to join UNIPGC in promoting sustainable peace and advocating for good governance.
