The Olosi of Osi, Oba Salihu Adasofegbe, expressed appreciation to the association for visiting his community.

He urged the football body to carry out its work diligently while wishing them a successful tenure.

In his submission, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Adeoti, also declared support for the body.

He drew attention to the impact sports could have on national development, adding that his community would key into sports development initiatives.

The monarch further noted that Omu-Aran community had acquired a large plot of land to build sports facilities, urging the body to assist in fast tracking the development of the site.

“The piece of land was acquired in the late 80s; however there were problems as the land was encroached on for another purpose although we were able to recover it.

“I am using this medium to tell the football association to help us inform the state government to offer support,” Adeoti said.

Similarly, the Alofa of Iloofa, Oba Charles Dada, advised the football association to be diligent in the pursuit of its initiatives.

The monarch, who is an astute tennis player, emphasised the need to set up a well organised structure to promote the continuous development of talented players across the local governments.
