Oshogbo (Flowerbudnews): Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has congratulated renowned columnist, Dr Lasisi Olagunju on winning this year’s Informed Commentary Award at the 2024 Diamond Award for Media Excellence (DAME).
Governor Adeleke noted that Dr. Olagunju’s success ”is yet a recognition of his incredible works and how they enrich the journalism field,:’ a statement by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, disclosed.
The Governor lauds Dr. Olagunju for his insightful and thought-provoking engagements over the years, noting that winning the prestigious DAME Award for a record fifth time ‘:is a remarkable feat that goes to show how much value is placed on his works in the field of journalism.”
While celebrating the Saturday Editor of the Nigerian Tribune as a pride for Osun, Governor Adeleke praised Dr. Olagunju for his commitment to excellence and professionalism, providing a practical proof that hard work pays.
“I’m exceedingly thrilled to learn that Dr. Lasisi Olagunju has picked up the DAME Award this year.
”The success this year makes it the fifth time in a row that he will be so honoured, underscoring the values accorded the works of Dr. Olagunju at home and abroad,” the Governor was quoted as saying.
“I congratulate Dr. Olagunju for the honour that the award confers on him and appreciate him for spotlighting Osun positively through his works and inspire younger generations to give their best in their chosen endeavours.”
Governor Adeleke expresses hope that his passion for truth and informed commentary will continue to do Osun proud and inspires young people in the state and beyond to be unwavering in pursuing success in their chosen fields without compromise whatsoever.
