Sango-Ota(Ogun):. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, has reiterated its commitment to sustain intensive campaign against over speeding to stem road crashes in 2024.
Mr Anthony Uga, Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ota, that speed had been one of the major causes of death along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the state at large.
Uga implored motoring public to drive according to the extant rules and regulations guarding FRSC to minimize tragedy in 2024.
“We are going to sustain mobile speed control patrol and also sustain traffic coming using the red flag.
“The FRSC would also sustain enforcement to make sure that those unrepentant motorists would face the wrath of the law by booking intensively and given them robust public enlightenment.” he said.
Uga stressed the need to add more bite to its operations to stem the tide of road crashes in the state.
He added that sensitisation programmes would be extended to churches and mosques to educate the public.(NAN)
