Fasasi Lauds Pres. Tinubu, Housing Minister, for Involving Artisans in National Development Activities

Abuja (Flowerbudnews): BACSAAN National President, Haj. Fasasi Muhammad-Jamiu has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Housing, Lands and Urban Development Minister, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma, for their recognition of the relevance of Nigerian artisans to sustainable national growth.

Fasasi, who is the Founder and National Leader of BACSAAN, gave the commendation while speaking during a visit to a construction site in Lugbe, Abuja on Saturday.

The BACSAAN National Leader, who was accompanied on the routine visit by top BACSAAN leaders, including Haj. Isiaq Robiu, the Association’s National Director of operations, said that President Tinubu’s administration ”is gradually opening new windows of economic prosperity for artisans.”

”Our involvement in related federal government national workshops and seminars under the Tinubu government is unprecedented and is highly appreciated by Artisans,” Fasasi stated.

He particularly commended the Minister of Housing, Lands and Urban Development, Engr. Muttaqha Rabe Darma and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, for inviting BACSAAN leaders and technical experts to the forthcoming Workshop on National Housing Data Programme and Regulation of the Built Environment.

Fasasi noted, the gesture was an indication that, ”finally, we are having top government functionaries who appreciate the crucial contributions of the generally down-trodden artisans across the country to national growth.”

He expressed appreciation to President Tinubu, the Minister Engr. Darma and Dr. Belgore for inviting BACSAAN Leaders to participate in the forthcoming Workshop on National Housing Data Programme
and Regulation of the Built Environment.

Fasasi stressed that BACSAAN members comprised of highly technically experienced persons with years of active and practical knowledge in several areas of construction and skilled artisanship.

The BACSAAN National President recall that the association has participated, and contributed robustly to national housing policy formulation through the yearly meeting of the National Council on Housing in which it participated as a stakeholder.

According to information from the Federal Ministry of Housing, Lands and Urban Development (FMHUD) the forthcoming Workshop ‘:is aimed at bringing together, key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s Housing data Ecosystem and enhancing the regulatory framework governing the Built Environment.

Discussions will focus on promoting data-driven policy formulation, improving inter-agency collaboration, advancing digital innovation in the housing sector, and fostering sustainable standards and regulatory compliance within the Built Environment.

The workshop will also provide platform for participants to share experiences, examine emerging challenges, and develop practical recommendations to support the implementation of the National Housing Data Programme and strengthen governance in the Housing and Urban Development sector in line with the established standards and best practices.

Aimed at producing validated National Housing Data Framework and strengthening the regulatory framework for the built environment.

The outcome of the workshop is expected to enhance housing policy formulation, planning, investment, standards and regulatory compliance across the housing and urban development sector.*
