The League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta (ROOBITOH – رابطة) has congratulated the Pioneer and Former Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, FNSE, on his well-deserved recognition and distinguished award for exemplary leadership, outstanding service and enduring contributions to education and society.

The prestigious recognition was presented by the Grand Chief Imam of Sepeteri Land and Chairman, Strategic and Logistics Committee of the League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Al-Imam Engr. Abdulhakeem Demola Raji, MNSE, MNIEEE, during the Oyo State Muslim Community Transition Programme held at the Muslim Community House, Ibadan.
The award celebrates Dr. Abdul-Hameed’s remarkable leadership record, commitment to educational advancement, integrity and dedication to the development of the Muslim Ummah and humanity.
As the Pioneer Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Dr. Abdul-Hameed played a defining role in laying the institutional foundation of the young Federal Polytechnic, providing visionary leadership at a critical stage of its development. His service, marked by professionalism, discipline and commitment to institutional growth, continues to form part of the Polytechnic’s history.
ROOBITOH described the recognition as a fitting acknowledgement of a life of purposeful service, noting that honouring individuals who have distinguished themselves in leadership and service remains an important way of encouraging greater commitment to the development of the Ummah and society.
The League further commended Dr. Abdul-Hameed for his contributions to education, leadership and community development, stressing that his recognition reflects the value of sincere service, excellence and integrity.
ROOBITOH prayed Almighty Allah to continue to grant the former Rector good health, wisdom, strength and greater opportunities to serve the Ummah and humanity.
The League expressed confidence that the honour would inspire Dr. Abdul-Hameed to continue making meaningful contributions to education, professional development and societal advancement.
