Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has denied sacking the Provost of Ilesa College of Health Technology (OSCOHEALTH), Dr Lateef Olanrewaju Raheem, insisting that he remains the substantive head of the institution.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed on Saturday.
Adeleke said the recent crisis at the institution had been resolved, while concerns raised about its management had been reviewed by the state leadership.
He added that a review of the college’s management structure confirmed full representation of the host community, noting that the governor was satisfied with the institution’s progress within available resources.
The governor described the advertorial placed by the college’s board as a routine administrative exercise, stressing that it did not mean the incumbent provost had been removed.
He assured the general public that a decision on the renewal of the incumbent provost’s appointment would be taken soon.
Adeleke urged members of the public to disregard rumours about Raheem’s removal, reiterating that he remains the substantive provost of the college.
