CP Giwa Receives Award As Best Crime Busting Police Chief In W/Africa, Enugu PRO Receives ……
The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Giwa, has received the 2025 Best Crime Busting Police Chief in West Africa award from the Security Watch Africa Initiative.
The Enugu State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Daniel Ndukwe, also received the Best Police Public Relations Officer in Nigeria award.
This is contained in a statement issued by the PPRO Ndukwe on Sunday in Enugu on behalf of the commissioner.
Presenting the awards at the Command’s Headquarters in Enugu on Saturday, the International Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of Security Watch Africa Initiative, Mr. Patrick Agbambu, said the recipients were selected following a review of their respective policing antecedents.
Agbambu said that they were selected based on their professional contributions to peace and fighting crime in Enugu State.
He urged the commissioner to sustain his proactive approach to crime prevention and combating as well as result-oriented civil-police engagements.
Agbambu encouraged the PPRO Ndukwe to maintain his strategic and effective police-public relations activities.
Responding, the commissioner expressed appreciation to the organizers for the recognition, attributing his achievements in Enugu State to Almighty God and the support of the State Government, law-abiding citizens and other stakeholders.
Corroborating, Ndukwe also appreciated the organizers and dedicated the award to Almighty God, the commiand the people of Enugu State for their continued support.
The awards were presented as part of the 19th Africa Security Watch Awards, following the 19th Africa Security Watch Conference held in July 2026 at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre, Banjul, Gambia.
