CSDA, Rep. Atu Tour Enugu Communities For Sensitization, Rural Appraisals Of Intervention Projects
The Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) has toured several communities in Enugu South Local Government Area for community sensitisation and Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRA) on rural intervention projects.
The CSDA team led by its General Manager, Chief Monday Diamond Ani was joined by the Member representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Sam Atu.

In Amaechi Awkunanaw.community on Saturday, Ani said that the agency had toured seven communities within Enugu South council area, which included: Ugwuaji, Obeagu-Ugwuaji, Akwuke, Akwuke-Uwani, Ndi-Aga-Amaechi, Ndiugbo Amaechi and Amaechi Awkunanaw.
He said that the toured communities, which were selected for project interventions, were sensitized and made to undergo PRA engagements.

The CSDA boss said that the agency team also helped to ensure that Community Project Management Committees were elected and formally inaugurated.
“The sensitisation tour and PRA exercise are aimed to enlighten residents on the Agency’s community-driven development initiatives and encourage active participation in identifying and addressing their most pressing needs.
“Hon. Atu’s presence underscored the importance of collaboration between political leaders and the CSDA in bringing government interventions closer to rural communities, particularly vulnerable groups and underserved households,” he said.

Corroborating, Atu said that the intervention project tour and sensitisation by CSDA reflected Gov. Peter Mbah commitment for rural development and promoting inclusive governance.
“As a progressive, I will continue to support His Excellency, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, in his vision and hard work towards development and progress of Enugu State in general.
“I will continue to ensure that communities within my constituency benefit from improved basic services and amenities in line with the development vision of Gov. Mbah,” the Federal lawmaker said.

Community stakeholders eulogized Gov. Mbah’s intervention projects to the rural dwellers, describing the governor as an incomparable leader of the people.
The Deputy Chairman of Enugu South LGA, Hon Anthony Egbo, appreciated Gov. Mbah, Hon. Atu and CSDA for a rural focussed development as well as roads and human empowerment projects already executed within the council.

Egbo, who is a popular community leader in Enugu, said: “We are going to appreciate our leaders by ensure massive votes for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 General Elections.”
Other stakeholders present included: the Senior Personal Adviser to the Governor on Media, Hon Onyekwere Nwobodo; a community leader in Amaechi, Hon. John Egbo; Hon Sunday Ugwu, Hon. C.A. Agbo, Chief Odo Nsude, as well as traditional rulers of Amaechi, Ugwuaji and Akwuke communities.
