The Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, Engr. Dr. Temilola Morufat Adepoju, has been honoured with an Award of Excellence by the Women in Technical Education and Development (WITED), Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Chapter, in recognition of her exemplary leadership, outstanding contributions to technical education and relentless commitment to institutional excellence.
The prestigious award was presented during the inauguration of the WITED Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Chapter, the swearing-in of its pioneer executive members and the official launch of the chapter’s day-care centre, where Engr. Dr. Adepoju delivered the keynote address as the Guest Speaker.

The award was formally presented to the Acting Rector by the Chairperson of the Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Barrister (Mrs.) Ademubowale Mercy Adelabu, in the company of the Rector of the institution, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku. The presentation symbolised the high regard and confidence reposed in the leadership capacity, professional accomplishments and inspiring contributions of Engr. Dr. Adepoju to the advancement of technical and vocational education in Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, the leadership of WITED Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Chapter described Engr. Dr. Adepoju as a visionary administrator, accomplished academic and exemplary leader whose passion for educational development, women empowerment and institutional transformation continues to inspire professionals across the nation’s tertiary education sector.
The ceremony also reflected the commitment of the Governing Council and Management of Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji to recognising excellence and promoting leadership that contributes meaningfully to the growth of Nigeria’s educational system. Under the leadership of Barrister (Mrs.) Ademubowale Mercy Adelabu, the Governing Council has continued to provide strategic direction for institutional development, while the administration of Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku has sustained initiatives aimed at advancing academic excellence, innovation and quality service delivery, further strengthening the Polytechnic’s position among Nigeria’s leading institutions of technology.
Responding to the honour, Engr. Dr. Temilola Morufat Adepoju expressed profound appreciation to the Chairperson of the Governing Council, Barrister (Mrs.) Ademubowale Mercy Adelabu, the Rector, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, and the entire WITED Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Chapter for finding her worthy of the prestigious recognition. She described the award as a cherished honour that would further inspire her to remain steadfast in promoting academic excellence, innovative leadership, institutional growth and human capital development.
The Acting Rector noted that the recognition would strengthen her resolve to continue providing purposeful leadership at Federal Polytechnic Ayede, while fostering stronger collaboration among tertiary institutions in advancing technical and vocational education for national development.
