Enugu North LG, CSDA Partner For People-Oriented Development Interventions
The Enugu North Local Government Area (LGA) and Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) have partnered to explore opportunities for development amenities/interventions in communities across the council area.
The Executive Chairman of Enugu North LGA, Dr Ibenaku Onoh, revealed this on Tuesday in Enugu when he paid a courtesy visit to the General Manager of CSDA, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani.
Onoh, who highlighted the development needs of communities in Enugu North council area, expressed interest in ensuring that more communities benefit from the Agency’s people-oriented interventions.
The chairman called for provision of potable water, sanitation facilities and other essential social infrastructure that directly improve the quality of life of rural and underserved populations in the council area.

While lauding CSDA for its proactive nature, Onoh projected some strategic communities in the council for possible interventions through the Agency’s the Nigerian Community Action Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES 2.0) delivery platform.
He said, “As a council, we recognise the importance of community-driven development in addressing local needs and promoting inclusive growth.
“There is also a need to bring government programmes closer to the people, especially communities that require critical basic amenities to support their health, dignity and socioeconomic well-being.”
Responding, the General Manager of CSDA, Hon. Monday Diamond Ani, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to delivering impactful community-based projects in line with the development vision of the Gov. Peter Mbah.

Ani noted the importance of collaboration with local government authorities in identifying priority needs and facilitating interventions that would be meaningful and lasting on the people.
He said, “The visit further underscored the importance of synergy between the CSDA and local government leadership in advancing grassroots development.
“Through the NG-CARES programme, the Agency continues to pursue its commitment to expanding access to essential social services and ensuring that more communities across Enugu State benefit from government interventions.
“The engagement reflects a shared commitment by the Enugu North Local Government Council and the CSDA to identify community needs, promote inclusive development and support the state government’s determination to ensure that no community is left behind.”
