Why Drop In Electricity Supply, Load Shedding In Enugu State – MainPower DisCo
The Mainpower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) has explained that current reduction in power supply availability in Enugu State is due to current drop in energy generation, resulting in low system frequency.
The Head, Communications of MEDL, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said this in a statement issued on Monday in Enugu.

Ezeh said that the situation had necessitated the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to implement load shedding of the available energy.
According to him, consequently, the energy allocation to MEDL has been affected, limiting its ability to meet the daily service-level commitments.

“MEDL wishes to assure its customers that it is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to distribute the available energy allocation fairly across its network.
“The company remains hopeful that normal power supply will be restored soon.
“MEDL sincerely regrets the inconvenience this situation may cause its esteemed customers and appreciates their patience, understanding, and continued cooperation,” he added.
