ILORIN: (FLOWERBUDNEWS): The National President of the Builders, Construction and Skilled Artisans Association of Nigeria (BACSAAN), Haj. Fasasi Muhammad Jamiu has announced economic empowerment packages designed to complement government efforts to lift Nigerian artisans out of poverty.
Speaking in Ilorin recently at the Muslim Workers Union seminar on economic empowerment, Fasasi announced that BACSAAN has entered into partnership with a leading Abuja-based economic empowerment organisation, Century Information Systems Limited (CIS) to open various windows of assistance to Artisans across the country.
Addressing hundreds of artisan who were at the event, Fasasi disclosed that one of the Major benefits expected for Artisans under the IDENTICO-BACSAAN partnership is guaranteed access to Financial support and back-up to help Artisans improve the quality of their trades.
The BACSAAN leader said that CENTURY and BACSAAN have developed the mechanism for smooth and continuous enrolment of artisans unto the CENTURY-BACSAAN economic empowerment support system.
FASASI emphasized that only competent and skilled artisans verified by BACSAAN veterans would be uploaded and registered to create and sustain good image and reputation for Nigerian Artisans..
He said that BACSAAN and CENTURY would be undertaking intensive enlightenment and publicity campaign to sensitise genuine BACSAAN Members and artisans generally on the opportunity opening for artisans with the BACSAAN-CENTURY economic empowerment scheme.
“We have held series of meeting with the CENTURY Management and we are convinced that they are sincere, honest and ready to use their leverage and connections with relevant agencies, both local and international, to help Nigerian artisans through BACSAAN,” Fasasi told the jubilant Artisans.
