OAU: Abandoned Senate Building Project set for Resuscitation, Completion – Bello

FLOWERBUDNEWS: The abandoned magnificently designed Senate Building project of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is now set for Resuscitation and will be completed within the next one year.

This was announced by the University’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Ambassador Rafiu Adejare Bello, while speaking at the 13th International OAU Alumni Reunion in Chicago, USA.

Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello said that the completion of the project has been estimated at about N10 Billion naira, disclosing that about two third of the estimated cost has already been generated by the University.

Amb. Bello who is Nigeria’s former Ambassador to Mexico, said the need for Resuscitation and completion of the project was raised at the meeting of the University’s Governing Council in March and had since been followed with concrete actions.

He commended the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Simeon Banire for his exemplary leadership of the institution and other members of the University’s Management.
